Who influences your kids?

Fraboom Expert Leslie
Mom. Dad. Teachers. Friends. Once upon a time, these were the only major influences on the average kid’s life. But with the rise of technology and the virtual shrinking of our world, a few new additions have been thrown into the mix. While we don’t think these digital offerings will by any means overpower the “Top Four” (Ma and Pop will always be number one in our opinion), we do think they have the potential to play a vital role in your kid’s life.

According to a recent article on scholastic.com, among the most influential players in the lives of families and children in particular are innovators like the late Steve Jobs, champions of health and education like Michelle Obama, and creative forces like Pixar’s John Lasseter. Ultimately, it’s not merely mediums like television, politics, or websites for children games that work as the influence, but rather the people behind these mediums.

Here at Fraboom, we’d like to join the ranks of these leaders who have gone before us. We don’t merely want to be another place for online children games and activities for kids. We aren’t just a website, but a driven team of innovators behind a website that are passionate about creativity education, and most of all, positively influencing and encouraging your kids! When you visit Fraboom.com, you don’t just encounter educational games and funny cartoon characters, but actual LIVE educators, waiting to inspire your kids to be all they can be. Check out a Live Event and see for yourself!

Fraboom Helps You With Your Kid’s Summer Bucket List!

Fraboom Expert Leslie
We know you have your bucket list burned into your brain. Sailing off the coast of Italy. Running a marathon. Finally, being the star of your own Home and Garden show. But, what about your kids? Instead of sitting around yawning this summer, what if they made their own bucket list?

Challenge your kids to write down a healthy list of fun things to do when the weather outside is far from frightful! Help them pack their three-month summer vacation with learning and adventure! Need some ideas to get this list rolling? Below, you’ll find Fraboom has already started the Summer Bucket List brainstorming process. Just add your own ideas and get started checking things off!
Summer Bucket List:

 1.      Visit a Museum!

From the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia to the Kidspace Children’s Museum in Louisiana, there’s a children’s museum for everyone in most major cities. And if you can’t find one in yours or don’t feel like venturing out, there’s always Fraboom.com an online interactive children’s museum!

   2.     Build the World’s Most Creative Sand Castle!

I’m sure every time you visit the beach, you try to build the largest or the most intricately designed sand structure. This summer, Fraboom is challenging kids to one up even their proudest moment in sand building. (Email a picture of your most amazing sand creation to eruiz@flyingrhino.com and if it’s really cool... we’ll post in on this blog!) Don’t forget on your next trip to the beach to use our favorite creative mantra:
The only rule to sand building is that there are NO rules.

Who says you have to build a castle? Why couldn’t your creation be shaped like an alien, eating a donut, riding a Pegasus? See if you can make the wackiest, craziest, Fraboomiest sand creation ever!

   3.   Put on a play in my own backyard!

Do you need the flashing lights of Broadway to be a star? No way! Invite neighbors and friends to an afternoon play in your own backyard. A sheet can be your curtain, the script can be your own creation and your best friends and pet hamster can be your leads. Now, all you have to do is decide which of your amazing stories to tell first!

   4.  Create a summer business!

Let your little Donald Trumps and Martha Stewarts loose to make some money this summer. Lawn mowing, babysitting and lemonade stands are great examples of kid businesses that can be fun and profitable. It’s never too early to start saving for college and learning how to run a business.

   5. Finish this Bucket List!

Alright, Fraboom’s started it for you. Now, grab a piece of paper and finish the job. What amazing things do you want to accomplish this summer?

Ready, set, LIST!
